Chicken Tikka
This was our first Christmas together. So I decided to throw a small party for few close friends. Tanmaya loves grilled food and tandoori, so I decided to try grilled Chicken Tikka. It is traditionally baked skewers with small pieces of chicken, usually boneless, in a clay based oven called tandoor , after marinating in spices and yogurt. But of course here we don't have the option of tandoor so we would cook it in convectional oven. Ingredients: Chicken thigh meat (boneless ) : 4 lbs Red Chili Powder : 2 tbsp Coriander Powder : 2 tbsp Cumin Powder : 2 tbsp Kasturi Methi : 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 tbsp Cooking Oil : 2 tbsp Garam Masals Powder : 1 tbsp Salt : to taste Curd : 3/4 curd Food color Onion : 2 large Green Bell Pepper : 3 (one can always use red and yellow pepper to add more color) Process: Clean the chicken and cut it in to small cubes.
