Baked Creamy Pasta
Even though I love italian food, I rarely make it a lot as Tanmaya is not into pasta so much. But I have this beautiful friend Jo who gets pasta for lunch often and makes beautifully.
I got inspired and thought why not make some nice creamy pasta and give Tanmaya a taste of Italian food and may be he would fall in love with it.
I was right!!!!
Ingredients:
Procedure:
Cook the pasta as mentioned in the package
In a pan heat 1/4 of the butter and fry mushrooms for 2-3 mins and remove from heat.
In the same pan heat rest of the butter and add onion slices and cook for 1-2 min till soft.
Stir in the flour to it and slowly add the milk to form a smooth lump free sauce. Increase the heat and bring it to a boil storing for few minutes till it thickens.
Turn of the heat stir in the sweet corn and most of the grated cheese and season it to taste by adding salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven at 400 F.
In a oven safe bowl mix the mix the pasta and mushroom. Pour the sauce into the bowl and toss it together.
Top the pasta and sauce with chopped spring onions and rest of the grated cheese.
Bake it for 10-15 mins.
You can bake all in one big baking dish or make individual pot for everybody joining you for food.
We enjoyed the dish together with a beautiful glass of wine.
I hope you also enjoy this yummy dish with your friends and family and fall in love with the beautiful cuisine that is Italian.
Till then happy blogging
