Gulgula

Its a popular snack made in Orissa with wheat flour and enjoyed with ghughuni and dalma. This is one of my brother's favorite evening snack.


Ingredients:

  1. Wheat flour: 1 cup
  2. Sugar: 1 cup 
  3. Oil: 2 tsp
  4. Curd: 4 tsp
  5. Fennel Seed: 1 tsp
  6. Salt: 1 pinch
  7. Water:  1/2 cup
  8. Oil: for deep frying

Procedure:


Mix all the ingredients together except the water. 
Add water little at a time till we get a thick batter.
Heat oil till drop of the batter rises immediately without getting brown. 
Now fry the gulgula batter 1 tsp at a time till it turns brown on all sides.
Serve it hot with ghughuni or dalma and enjoy.
