Grilled Drunk Shrimp

The weather outside is beautiful, sunny and bright.
What is better than grilled food with friends and family with loads of summer fun near the pool or in a park.
I love getting out and about in such a beautiful weather and do some grilling.
Here is a recipe that is great for both outdoor grilling at a park or as an appetizer for sit in dimmer party.
Its easy, quick and delicious.

Ingredients:
  1. Shrimp: 2 pounds, tail on, peeled and deveined
  2. Tequila: 1/2 cup
  3. Lime Juice: 1/2cup
  4. Olive Oil: 1/4 cup
  5. Red onion: 1/2 medium Sliced
  6. Garlic: 4 cloves crushed
  7. Coriander Leaves: 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt: 1/2 tsp
  9. Pepper Powder : 1/2 tsp

Procedures:

We need bamboo skewers for this recipe, about 6-8.
So go ahead and soak these skewers in water for 30mins before you start stringing the shrimp other wise it will burn.
In the mean while combine all the ingredients except the shrimp in a glass bowl and stir.
Add the shrimp to the marinade and let it marinate for 1 hr.
String in 4-5 shrimps in each skewer.

Heat up the grill to medium heat and grill the shrimp for 2 mins each side, till they turn opaque.
Serve the shrimps with the skewers with a slice of fresh lime.
I stumbled upon this recipe on food channel.com and tried it out. It turned out to be amazingly great.

I hope you also try this out this summer and have loads of fun with your friends and family.
Till the Happy Blogging
