In the process of remaining vegetarian for a month I have been trying different recipes with the same vegetables. So here goes on more cauliflower keema.
- Cauliflower: 1 small coarsely ground
- Green peas: 1/2 cup
- Onion: 1 medium finely chopped
- Tomato: 2 pureed
- Garam Masala: 1 tsp
- Pavbhaji Masala: 2 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds: 1/4 tsp
- Red chili powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
- Asafetida: 1 pinch
- Oil: 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Heat half of the oil in a pan and sauté the ground cauliflower for 4-5 mins till the raw smell is gone and the cauliflower starts to turn color a little. Remove from heat.
In the same pan heat rest of the oil and add cumin seeds, asafetida, red chili powder and turmeric powder.
Add the ginger garlic paste to it and cook till the raws smell is gone.
Add the chopped onion and cook till onions are transparent.
Add the green peas and salt. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the sautéed cauliflower and stir till cauliflower is nicely coated with spices.
Add the tomato puree, garam masala, coriander powder and pavbhaji masala.
mix well, cover and cook for another 5 mins.
Remove the lead the and cook till all the water dries up if any.
Keema is all ready to be enjoyed with rooti, naan, partha or poori.
This can be great with dal rice as well.
So try this out and do let me know.
Till then happy blogging
